Delegate Days
Back to Our Training
Delegate Days are designed for organisations needing to train small numbers of employees and for individuals looking to gain an overview of disability equality issues.
We believe that the need for disability equality training is not simply about complying with the law, it is about providing a better customer experience for all users of your services and a better working environment for all your staff. With this in mind, ECDP has developed three core modules essential for any organisation.
Introduction to Disability Equality
A one day workshop for those wishing to equip themselves with an understanding of the Social/ Medical Model debate, the principles of Independent Living and an overview of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995;2005.
Disability Equality and Customer Care
This new course has been specifically designed for customer facing staff, whether this be directly in person or over the phone / via letter, etc. Providing the opportunity to reflect on current practices, the course aims to enable participants tp gain insight into some of the barriers to equality for disabled customers.
Disability Equality and Recruitment
Focusing on understanding the barriers to disabled people within the work place, this course has been developed for human resources personnel and managers involved in the recruitment and retention of staff.
Please note: Learning objectives for the above courses can be provided on request
