The event was organised by local Special Educational Needs educators and social care practitioners to come together to offer parents a clear view on what the local offer is for young disabled people.

On 3 July 2013, ecdp held a breakfast event to bring together committed organisations from across the county to discuss their award winning employment programme, ecdp Works. 

ecdp attended the annual Essex Pride festival in Chelmsford.

ecdp Works (formerly known as Essex Unite) was highly recommended for the prestigious Business in The Community Award in recognition for services to the local Essex community.

On 17 June 2013 the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) launches a new service, called the Update Service.

ecdp, in coproduction with Essex County Council and Direct Payment Users in Essex, has produced a guidance tool on how to go about pooling funds with others, whether they are in the form of a direct payment or people’s own funds.
