Solutions for disabled people, by disabled people… 
ecdp insight supports disabled people to use their lived experience as far as they want by identifying their goals and aspirations and providing personal development pathways. Pathways are made up of a number of opportunities to support people as their personal development progresses.
The video at the bottom of this page shows the story of a number of members who have used ecdp insight pathways.
The Pathways below demonstrate some of the opportunities included:
Pathway 1
On Pathway 1, the insight member accesses opportunities which support them to develop new skills and confidence. This may be through some social activities, attending training and conferences, and may involve the support of a mentor/others.
Examples on Pathway 1 include:
- Accessing community activities and facilities
- Work experience (sometimes within ecdp)
- Increasing your social network
Pathway 2
On Pathway 2, the insight member access opportunities which allow them to develop further skills and contribute to the community/ecdp, using their lived experience. This may also include supporting or mentoring others.
Examples on Pathway 2 include:
- Supporting/signposting peers
- Contributing to collection of lived experience
- Contribute your lived experience to consultations
- Participating in events
Pathway 3
On Pathway 3, the insight member continues to develop further skills and, uses their lived experience and that of others, to provide a collective voice and support disabled people in their community.
Examples on Pathways 3 include:
- Using lived experience to provide a voice for ecdp
- Assisting other disabled people plan their support
- Signposting and supporting other disabled people
- Supporting ecdp to communicate with members
The above are just some examples of the opportunities available to you. Upon contacting ecdp insight, you will be allocated a Development Coordinator who will support you to identify and create the best opportunity based on your aspirations.
