Marilyn Williams: Senior Independent Director
Marilyn says she feels very privileged to be part of a vibrant and energetic organisation committed to improving the lives of disabled people.
Marilyn has personal experience of mental health services and cares for a family member with dementia. With twenty-five years experience within voluntary and statutory sectors, she is currently the mental health services PALS Facilitator for North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Marilyn has also been a trustee of mental health service user and Mind groups.
Marilyn’s background was banking, printing and photography. She has also worked as a residential home carer, support worker within Learning Disabilities, and a Mind advocacy manager.
Marilyn’s other passions are sport; she was a qualified gymnastic coach and keen archer, and still enjoy tennis and badminton.
