ecdp attends the Learning and Skills Improvement Service Fair
ecdp recently attended the Learning and Skills Improvement Service Fair at the Columbus School and College Campus in Chelmsford. The event was organised by local Special Educational Needs educators and social care practitioners to come together to offer parents a clear view on what the local offer is for young disabled people, once they reach the age of 19 and their Statement of Special Educational Need ceases.
Local groups including ecdp, Essex cares, Adult Community Education, The Essex County Council Transitions Pathway Team, Columbus and Chelmsford Colleges were represented. There were a range of workshops to sample the sorts of activities that each provider offers.
Twenty six families attended the event, which was a great success. Parents told us that they found the workshops valuable and informative.
