Minister announces acceptance of Access to Work Expert Panel recommendations
In 2012, Mike Adams OBE, CEO of ecdp, acted as Chair of the Access to Work Expert Panel on behalf of the government.
Access to Work is the flagship disability employment programme which supports disabled people to get into work and stay in work. Support ranges from equipment, taxis to work, to PA support.
The report was published in two phases and consisted of 21 recommendations.
The Minister for Disabled People Esther McVey announced in July 2013 that she was accepting most of the recommendations the Expert Panel made.
At ecdp, we believe this is good news for disabled people.
