ecdp hosts DWP engagement event to support the development of the Disability Employment Strategy
On 21 August, in conjunction with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), ecdp hosted an engagement event to support the development of the Government’s Disability Employment Strategy due to be published later on this year.
The event was attended by a range of stakeholders who have particular insight or perspective on the issue: disabled people and those close to them; Jobcentre plus staff; local public service providers including the two mental health trusts; and employment providers.
The event focused on local issues and what needs to happen to make a difference – ensuring that the voice of lived experience continues to shape government strategy.
Thursday 07 July 2016 is THE BIG HEALTH DAY from 10am to 3pm.
Disability Essex provided advice, support and a place to socialise for disabled people, their families and carers since 1949 but has closed due to financial difficulties.
