ecdp and Chelmsford City Council are hosting the Discovery Festival
The Discovery Festival - In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2013
Chelmsford City Council and ecdp are working together to deliver a brand new event to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The Discovery Festival is taking place from the 25 November in the week leading up to the International Day on the 3 December.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an annual day of international observance which has been promoted by the UN since 1992. It is celebrated in a variety of ways around the world with the aim of promoting an understanding of disability issues, increasing the positive image of disabled people in society and celebrating their achievements.
The Discovery Festival, which will take place in various venues in Chelmsford, will feature events and activities for everyone to enjoy. There will be performances by local groups, as well as workshops, awareness and information events.
Thursday 07 July 2016 is THE BIG HEALTH DAY from 10am to 3pm.
Disability Essex provided advice, support and a place to socialise for disabled people, their families and carers since 1949 but has closed due to financial difficulties.
