ecdp supports World Mental Health Day
On Thursday 10 October 2013, ecdp joined local organisations, businesses and the general public in a celebration for World Mental Health Day
Walk a Mile for Mental Health was a great event in Central Park, Chelmsford on 10 October 2013.
Over 300 local people walked through the park to show their dedication to tackling the stigma that still surrounds mental illness, an often hidden disability.
ecdp volunteer, Robin, spoke about his personal experiences of living with a mental health condition, and how volunteering at ecdp has given him the confidence to help others.

Disability Essex provided advice, support and a place to socialise for disabled people, their families and carers since 1949 but has closed due to financial difficulties.
