Calling all Essex organisations!
The Discovery Festival is back! After a great success in 2013 in which hundreds of people took part, we are now planning the 2014 event which will take place over the 3-5 December.
The Discovery Festival aims to break down barriers for disabled people, to raise awareness and to lead to a more inclusive society for all. The festival aims to celebrate the achievements of disabled people and showcase their talents and abilities through a range of performances, art, shows and activities.
In order for the event to be a success this year we need organisations such as your own to help out again with a stall, an interactive session or a performance for the residents of Chelmsford to see. Activities take place primarily in High Chelmer and are supported by activities taking place at sites around the City.
If you would like your organisation to be involved in this year’s Discovery Festival, please contact:
Jennifer Gorton at Chelmsford City Council on 01245 606367
E-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org before 15 August.
Thursday 07 July 2016 is THE BIG HEALTH DAY from 10am to 3pm.
Disability Essex provided advice, support and a place to socialise for disabled people, their families and carers since 1949 but has closed due to financial difficulties.
