MEHT Hosts Prestigious Healthcare Event

Mid Essex Hospitals is hosting a prestigious healthcare event on Thursday 11 September at Broomfield Hospital, which will be opened by the The Mayor and Mayoress of Chelmsford.

The Showcasing Healthcare Event, jointly spearheaded by Mid Essex Hospitals and the Centre Supporting Voluntary Action, gives patients, carers and people in the community the chance to learn more about the healthcare services available from the voluntary and community organisations across Mid Essex, will be displaying over 44 organisations, with stands in the main hospital atrium.

The event will run from 11am to 5pm, and is than followed in the evening by the Trust's Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held in the Medical Academic Unit (MAU), and this will start at 5.30 with an event to showcase hospital services whilst refreshments are served, with the main AGM running from 6.30 to 8pm.

Paul Forden, Chief Executive at Mid Essex Hospitals said:'The Trust is very pleased to have the opportunity to host this prestigious healthcare event, working closely with our many friends in the voluntary sector.This event will give patients, and the community, a chance to see what help is available across Mid Essex in terms of support for a number of long term conditions.

The day ends with Mid Essex showcasing some of our services in the MAU, ahead of the Annual General Meeting, which starts at 6.30pm.
