How can technology and information help people with Learning Disabilities live life to the full?
What sort of life do you want to lead? What do you care about? What gets in the way of you doing what you want to do?
Join the Civic Camp to have your say and make a difference
Essex County Council and Chelmsford Makerspace are joining together to host a Civic Camp. They want to understand the barriers in your life – and consider how better use of information and better use of technology could break those barriers down. The Civic Camp will bring together people with learning disabilities; their friends and families; professionals; and people with skills who want to make a difference. Over a weekend, you can help to create solutions that will help people live life to the full.
Friday: 16:00 – 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 18:00
Sunday: 09:00 – 16:00
The event will be held at Anglia Ruskin University's Business School, in the Lord Ashcroft building. This is in Chelmsford, Essex.
Who should attend?
People with energy and enthusiasm! If this is you, join in – beforehand or over the full weekend. The group will be a mix of people with direct experience of Learning Disabilities, family, friends and professionals.
