Day one of ecdp Works by Ian Dean

Tue, 03/24/2015 - 14:16 -- Anonymous

Today was the first day of the ecdp Works Course. As the masterminds behind the programme, Dennis Preston and Rachel Vipond opened with several introductions before the CEO of ECDP, Mike Adams, spoke about how beneficial the course could be. We were then asked to introduce ourselves to the person next to us, answering six questions about who we were. When we were done, we then introduced that person to the rest of the room. Rachel, Dennis, and the various course mentors around the room also took part in all the activities.

Jody's story

Fri, 08/22/2014 - 13:47 -- lmay

By Patrick Atack, ecdp Communications Volunteer

I met with Jody to talk about his work experience placement with Essex Police. Here is his story...

Jody has already secured an interview following completion of the ecdp Works programme.

Jody spent his placement with Essex Police, and specifically with the Evidential Media Unit. This involved dealing with evidence, and processing the multimedia side of this important work. This often meant taking pictures, and processing images from CCTV and other sources.
