Catching up with Lesley at the end of her placement

Mon, 08/18/2014 - 10:32 -- lmay

In this blog, Lesley updates us all on her journey so far, in her own words...

First of all, I can't believe our time is nearly up in the placements!

How quickly time has flown.

I am at Great Dunmow Police Station, which is now more of a centre for various departments that moved over from HQ in Chelmsford.

Originally I was to work upstairs in the main offices, but due to my mobility and Health and Safety issues this was not possible. So downstairs I went to the Records Office.

Over the first week of ecdp Works we asked our participants both what they had learned, and what they thought they would take forward into the world of employment.

Confidence

Confidence building has been a target of the ecdp Works programme from the very beginning, and a lot of our participants have identified this as one of the most valuable parts of the course so far.

In this blog post, we’re going to give you an insight into what the participants on our flagship programme, ecdp Works, thought about their first week of training.

For the first week of the programme, participants were in our Chelmsford offices, developing their skills so that they will be successful in the workplace.

On Thursday 03 July two Mitie representatives returned to ecdp to contribute to the training.

I sat in on the morning session, as Ollie Dear and Ana Canabarro returned to build on the activities they led on communication, and other sessions throughout the week.

Why employers support ecdp Works

Thu, 07/03/2014 - 08:06 -- lmay

From accountants, to banks, the Police and housing associations, many employers choose to create a partnership with ecdp by hosting participants from our ecdp Works programme.

That’s great for us, because it means we can choose where is best for our participants from a wide range of opportunities.

In this blog post, we’re going to look at why employers think it’s great to work with us.
